Caerus Oil and Gas (formerly Teton Energy) is looking for energy assets in the Rocky Mountains. The exploration and production company has leasehold interests in the Central Kansas Uplift, the Eastern Denver-Julesburg Basin in Nebraska, and the Big Horn Basin in Wyoming. Teton Energy has spent several years shifting its focus from oil exploration in Russia toward natural gas exploration in the Rocky Mountain region. Running into financial trouble the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in late 2009 and was acquired by Caerus Oil and Gas.
